Halim Perdanakusuma Airport Introduces Special Need Assistant (SNA) Facilities

Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, Jakarta, now provides a new facility called Special Need Assistant (SNA) to support the comfort of passengers with special needs. This facility is located near the self check-in area and aims to provide special services to passengers who require additional assistance, such as wheelchair users, the elderly, or passengers with other disabilities.

Supporting Facilities and SNA Services

SNA services include various assistance points throughout the airport, ranging from drop-off locations, parking areas, to the bus terminal. Each assistance point will be equipped with a special Special Need Assistant logo.

Additionally, the airport provides free wheelchairs for passengers with limited mobility. These wheelchairs are only available for use within the airport area, with no additional charge. SNA officers are also ready to guide visually impaired passengers, assist with check-in, security screening, and accompany them to the waiting area or departure gate.

Special Assistance Until Check-In

Assistance is a key part of the SNA service. The staff will accompany passengers with special needs through the entire process until check-in is complete. After that, the passenger will be handed over to the airline staff along with their boarding pass.

This service is also available for unaccompanied children, passengers with hearing or vision impairments, cognitive or developmental disabilities, sick individuals, and religious leaders who require special attention during their journey.
